The animated film Song of the sea has amazing backgrounds throughout the film. Tomm Moore had taken out a number of animators out to various locations in Ireland to capture its beauty for this film, I personal think the main thing that stands out in this film is its use of painted backgrounds. The different contrasts of colour in different scenes makes the film more interesting. The added detail to these backgrounds gives you an idea of different textures.
